About Me
My name is Wayne, and I’m a follower of Christ, husband, and father. My wife and I have been married for 25 years, we have three children and live in sunny Southwest Florida. And I serve as an elder at our church. So, until God gives additional or different responsibilities, I paint houses and transcribe sermons, conferences, workshops, podcasts, and church meetings.
We worship and serve at a Reformed church that is part of the wider Reformed and Presbyterian family of churches. I have been burdened to minister the Word of God since being saved a while ago at the age of eighteen. I have served in church ministry over the years as deacon, elder, preaching occasionally, and teaching Sunday School to little children, pre-teens, teens, and adults of all ages.
In my down time I enjoy reading the Puritans and Reformers (John Bunyan, Richard Baxter, William Guthrie, Jeremiah Burroughs, Henry Scougal), reading aloud to the family (The Child’s Story Bible, Little House on the Prairie), playing the acoustic twelve-string guitar, and keeping up with Internet and computer technologies.
Although I do not personally have a significant preaching or teaching ministry at this time, I consider sermon transcription as a way of participating in the ministry of the Word as it is preached and taught by others.
